The summary data on this site pertaining to the violations records of facilities comes from data gathered by CANHR from the California Department of Health Services (DHS), which is the organization that inspects and licenses nursing facilities. CANHR summarizies the DHS data in an effort to make it comprehensible and maximize its availability.
