Support SB 303 (Alquist)
Nursing Facility Resident Informed Consent Protection Act

Please help reduce the excessive use of psychoactive drugs in California nursing homes by supporting SB 303, a CANHR sponsored bill. By curtailing misuse of dangerous psychoactive drugs – some of which come with FDA black box warnings because they greatly increase the risk of death for elders with dementia – SB 303 addresses one of the most serious and common problems facing nursing home residents today.

The Senate passed SB 303 on June 2 by a 25-13 vote. It is awaiting action in the Assembly.
