The California State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program investigates and attempts to resolve complaints made by, or on behalf of, individual residents in long-term care facilities.

The California Department of Aging
Administers a broad range of home- and community-based services throughout California.

California Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
The agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities.

California Department of Health Services (DHS)
Performs all formal inspection of nursing homes. Has oversight of all nursing homes in California.
