CANHR is pleased to co-sponsor its next full-day dementia care training – this time in Los Angeles on August 29. The event will be led by Tena Alonzo, the fantastic comfort care teacher from the Beatitudes Campus in Phoenix, AZ. The event’s other co-sponsors are Wise and Healthy Aging and AgeSong. The training is meant to be an implementation follow-up to the CANHR co-sponsored dementia care conference that was held in L.A. in June 2012. This event will use real-life case studies and focus on the day-to-day use of comfort care principles in lieu of chemical restraints to take care of the needs of people with dementia. Lunch and CEUs will be provided. The cost of the event is only $40.
